Jason is a great speaker. Keeps it interesting by challenging the audience and keeping us involved. He did a really good job on the live coding and explaining the thought process of how to do the simplest thing first. It went a little quick for me. I'm somewhat of a unit testing noob and would have gotten more from a slower pace.
Would definitely attend more of Jason's talks
Great intro in how quickly you can get a robust API up and running. Christian did a great job on explaining the concepts and features of apigility. Wish we had more time for more full featured demo
I found Rod's talk particularly helpful due to the fact that I'm a new to iSeries role in the PHP landscape. It was good to get a an overview where the important files live/exist on the iSeries. Would like to have more time for questions after the talk
Cool overview of the impact of a project that one doesn't always think about. Would have liked a little less handwaving around the engine updates and, as stated, the powerpoint issues were a bit rough.
Wonderful talk—very well presented with many important points.
Great overview of the different types of databases and patterns to consider when building your domain.
Great presentation of DDD and how it works with DB. Planning the architecture of the services really depends on the Domain, and not the developer team's basic preferences. Very good talk - kept me thinking about these concepts through the entire presentation.
Great DDD talk Brad! Would love more examples somehow using PHP Models or whatnot but wasn't included in abstract anyway so all good.
Very helpful with explaining how Jenkins is used to deploy. For beginners, it may a little bit much to intake. Presentation is solid. Questions answered well. I did like the demo with pass and fail tests. Nice to see all of that work done as localhost with Docker containers. A lot of insight into the pieces used in the process: phpunit, composer, any builds, etc.
Really cool insight into our brief moment in time within the computer science age! Lots of interesting history on mishaps in engineering.
