An interesting talk, but needs a little work on delivery and pacing, to keep the tempo up.
I enjoyed how thorough and deep Ed went in his talk. I was a little worried at first about how much code he was showing, but his approach to draw on top of the code samples helped make them easier to follow and helped me follow the content.
If I was to change one part of the slides it would be to reduce the amount of text that was shown alongside code samples. Instead you can talk to that content and let people focus on the code samples and highlighting that you're doing.
Great content and entertaining slides. I loved the passion and excitement but the combination of speed and volume sometimes made Prosper hard to understand.
Great to hear how a big shop is using CakePHP & Docker in production. I thought the depth you covered docker at was a great for an introduction. I found the slide transitions and slide numbers bit distracting, and would personally omit them.
Well prepared I added my comments against the second workshop
You can see the passion of Propser and you can see he loves his topic, just think he needs to slow down a bit, with the accent and the speed he talks at it is some times hard to follow where he is in the topic. There is nothing wrong with the talk, just slow down and let us enjoy your passion with you.
I think a big thank you needs to go out to Mark to putting his hand out and taking over this workshop. The randomness of the workshop felt very weird in the start but by the end of the second workshop I realised the value of the randomness and how much you actually learn from it.
This workshop changed a lot of things i thought i was doing right and has converted me to do things a lot better and the correct way. The actual project showed a lot of value as well as very insightful for real world application.
Very interesting talk. Something we tend to over look and not think about. This is something that really needs to be brought up more and spoken about more. Thank you for bringing it up and in the open
An interesting list of problems and the tooling to help solve those problems, with solid reasoning. Raised some good points for thought about how to pick your tools.
