Great presentation base in real world example an difficulties.
That was great time.
I would take an other hour even this my second time I assit to you conf on the subject.
I will map my city!
We was in this way.
This validate points and it will clearly help us to speed up and don't fall in common mistake.
Great talk !
Help us to understand concept under the hood.
Like the slide and presenter.
I'm sorry you didn't get what you expected out of my talk. This session wasn't designed to be a hands on one. The one question asked about what are the minimum things to do for an accessible site couldn't be answered in the context of a 45 minutes talk.
I invite you to contact me directly should you wish me to discuss specific accessibility techniques with you
This talk wasn't impressive at all. The speaker was just complaining that nobody does anything regarding accessibility. Yet when asked about concrete solutions, the speaker provided evasive answers. I don't recommend this talk.
@Tommy,
Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. You brought up a good subject. In fact, after the talk, a gentleman asked me the very same thing. What I told him was that it depends. Sorry, that sounds kinda hand-wavy right? Well, there are a couple use cases.
There is the development team that has one or more databases that are shared across many applications (think mobile client, desktop client, browser client, etc.). In that case, it makes sense (perhaps) to do it the way I showed in the demo where you have just database stuff in the project; not tied to any one application.
On the other hand, there is the situation where you have a database that is highly coupled to just one application. Sounds like this is your use case (please correct me if I am wrong). This is completely legitimate and in fact, this is how I did it the first time I used Liquibase. I've done it both ways, and both are equally easy to manage.
Perhaps I'll put a project out there that shows this scenario as well. If I do, it will likely be driven by a Makefile as the build tool. If you have any other ideas or thoughts on the matter, definitely hit me up (@wilmoore).
Thanks again :)
Really enjoyed the presentation. I was already familiar with several of the things discussed, but it was a nice refresher.
Learned a few new things.
Heard of some things to avoid to help make applications more secure as well as saw links to places to keep up to date with new vulnerabilities.
I wish I could of seen more code examples.
Great, most of them was well know but we still need to remember it.
Missing a real example whit all the tools integration.
