Thank you all for feedback!

@ Anonymous: would love to chat about your expectations, if you have the time please ping me (email/twitter..)

@Dave Liddament: I was trying to avoid going to deep into examples as it might be hard to explain the details/circumstances/contexts, but I tought I gave more than few examples. Will check out the video if what was in my head got out in the expected way :)

@Peter Lindqvist: I would love to hear what your disagreements are, just to see if I missed something (like context or the whole idea) or just pushed it in the way where I was misunderstood.

If you have any questions/remarks/comments that you want to chat about, feel free to ping me via email/twitter (both should be easy to find on the internetz)

Great talk, especially with the examples. For me it was one of the best talks I've seen during this conference.

I think your presentation skills can be improved. It was a bit monotone and after a while, even though the topic was very interesting, my mind started to wander a bit. A few jokes (like at the end with the t-shirts) are allowed to keep your audience focused ;)

Good talk, but a lot of it was spent explaining why code reviews are a good thing. Not very useful if you're already on board with that. Good speaker though.

I would argue that the subject of the talk was more about preventing bugs due to state change rather than writing code which is easier to understand than others.

Nonetheless, very practical information and acts as a good refresher. Also interesting tips like using factories for value objects.

Please don't be put off by the talk being received as a beginner talk instead of intermediate. I'm sure you have taught new things to fair majority of the audience which makes your talk very worthwhile and valuable!

Hi J.D. Mutsaerts, thank you for leaving your feedback, it is much appreciated! I'm sorry that the talk didn't exactly match your expectations. Could you describe what you were expecting/hoping to see more of? That would really help me to tweak the talk and/or abstract to align them better.

Thanks for all the feedback: both positive & negative. It was nuanced and very respectful, which I really appreciate.

Based on all the comments and ratings, I now have a clear view on how to improve this presentation. It is obvious that there is a common pattern in the feedback.

I will reflect on it, use it and turn it into a v2.

To use a metaphor from my presentation: this is a new variable that has appeared, and I'll use it in my quest to become a better speaker.

Thanks again everyone!

Good talk, and since we are doing most of the improvements you've given i agree to all of them ^^

The anime made it a light talk IMO, the other pictures made it clear also.
Good talk

Was very clear, especially the animations made it easyer to understand.

epic ^^.
