I really enjoyed this talk, awesome job. As you're obviously working out what to cut and keep Matt I made the following notes while listening:
- Define "POPO" upfront, even if just in a corner of the slide where its first used. My colleague was unsure for a while what it referred to
- You can probably cut the contents + conclusions page ie. what you will cover and what you did cover
- One point that I was wondering about is the Laravel "bus factor": what if Taylor was hit by a bus tomorrow. would there be a 5.7? I think Tighten are doing a good thing providing LTS support where it might not otherwise exist which does somewhat mitigate this, but I can see it being raised as a potential issue.
Great talk, well delivered. I have quite a lot of knowledge on the subject, but still learnt some new things.
Great talk from a great speaker. Brave for live coding, but totally pulled it off.
Great talk around a subject I'm really interested in learning more about. Really left me chomping at the bit to learn more.
SERVERS ARE CATTLE PEOPLE!
Steve is a really engaging speaker, but I found the content was perhaps a little basic and on a subject matter I already have a lot of knowledge around.
Great talk from Barry. The content was really interesting and was delivered in a way that was easy to follow. Gave me some great ideas for some future projects.
I really enjoyed this talk. It was quite technical, but I found it easy to follow due to Hannes' delivery. Only thing I would have liked to see is real-life examples of when to use each of the code examples.
As always, a great talk from Matt. He's a really engaging speaker and I found the content of the talk really interested. Happy to be one of the first people to hear it.
Steve is a very strong character and has the natural ability to make literally anyone laugh. His talk was very entertaining. Some may say that what he was discussing was pretty simple, but it was very inclusive and allowed those that aren't as familiar with the Laravel Framework to have something to relate to.
Great job.
Great info, and although I thought I knew IOC in and out, the clear way in which the definitions were defined was amazing. I think I agree with the other commenters that some more real-world / practical examples would be beneficial toward the end.
