Could use a little more dynamism and engagement with the audience during the presetnation
Super informative and presented in a way that didn’t assume everyone was deep in the InfoSec space.
I think the content is really good. The only downside is you spent the entire talk looking at the projector screen and you never looked at the group. That, and you had a QR code with a link to the slides which you said we could get at the beginning of the talk, but you gave us less than 2 seconds to scan it, so I missed my chance.
Putting aside my opinion that Andy’s one of the nicest people in the PHP community, this talk was fantastic. I’m working on a team doing a similar upgrade, and I picked up some new tricks that I can claim credit fo…err, share with my colleagues!
Lots of really great content, and a solid primer on the topic.
Getting a little more into infrastructure as code could be helpful, e.g. “there are tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, et al that allow us to define how our servers should be built and configured. This ensures that we can configure each server in the same way consistently.”
Liked the content a lot, and the slide deck was really well designed. Talking about code having entropy was definitely revelatory for me.
Great talk with lots of real-world experiences. Thanks!
I really enjoyed your presentation and plan to share this with my team.
Really good content, all talks/topics can be improved with Lego
Good talk about working remote. Was given from the perspective of a developer manager on what works and helps with helping teams be productive. Information was useful and helpful. Slides were good and clean. Suggestion to link slides before the talk, and face the audience and laptop on the podium instead of the projector screen to improve audience engagement.
