As someone unfamiliar with multiple inheritance, this talk's discussion of traits and interfaces was interesting.
Good presentation.
Great talk. Good info.
I came into it expecting it to focus more on automating team / company process than individual process, but I think I just misread the description.
Great topic and lots of good material presented. Unfortunately the debugging session was almost impossible to see on the screen. I understand that this was the speaker's first talk. nice job! But the presentation would be more effective if the speaker would enunciate sentences a bit more slowly and clearly. So this is a good talk that could become even better and more engaging.
Lots of tips and techniques demonstrated for various problems, including php code, apache lots, CSS tweak. I liked the live demo of Aptana Javascript debugging.
Really good talk. Lots to learn from this story. If anything, maybe there was a little too much detail regarding specific code that was used. This was far less important than the lessons to take away from how this or that component was implemented.
Narratives like Jessica's always provide a lot of anecdotal insight into "leveling up" a codebase and team, and learning from other people's mistakes (and successes) is second to learning from one's own. We were told a story about how Jessica and her team had success with Symfony, but there was plenty to learn and appreciate outside of the framework specific content. Good job.
The content was clearly presented and succinct. Austin gave a good overview of micro-frameworks (bonus points for demoing two at once) with practical examples while providing a lot of good general API design advice along the way.
Awesome tools discussed, and good retrospective talk about refactoring.
I thought this was a good overview of rest. The speaker was very knowledgeable. I only wish there was at least just a *little* bit of PHP-specific discussion regarding REST, as this is a PHP conference. That is the only reason I am not giving this presentation a 5-star rating. Otherwise it was excellent.
