Great presentation - wish we could have done more but it was a lot for the time we had. It refreshed my memory on the Laravel information I had already dug into.
A condensed intro to Go which was very well-presented. The executive summary at the end was helpful. Your presentation was energetic during the time when energy levels wane, which helped!
Presentation was a little disorganized. Strategies were good.
new perspectives and insights over everyday stuff. I liked it
I think this was very informative, but I found it a little hard to follow all the details. I think that was mostly me, as I find some of this stuff dry. It's the type of thing I wish developers didn't need to know about.
Very good live demo. Very valuable to have this kind of demo for those of us who haven't worked with this type of mindset before. I could have used more info about the pros and cons of working this way. As in, it clearly takes more time, but have you been able to measure the benefits? Is it a clear no-brainer for over-all productivity? Or is it possible to be more productive without being so strict with tdd? I could have probably been better at asking these questions at the talk, but it was late in the day. ;)
Big topic well presented.
One of the best live-demo talks that I have attended. Great introduction to TDD and it's philosophies for writing better and well-tested code. I'll definitely be thinking these strategies when writing tests in the future.
Good talk introducing a few different search solutions that differ based on needs or volume. I felt the code and result examples were a tad busy, making it more difficult to parse out what was happening during the talk. Perhaps fewer examples but more broken up, going more in-depth on that example would be better. Keep all the examples in the slide deck at the end for those interested, as they are helpful to review later.
excellent info, wish it was a bit longer
