The theme of this talk was "if you're not jumping between startups every 3-5 years you're an idiot." The speaker was funny and engaging, but he needs to realize that not everybody is in their 20's. Different developers are at different places in their careers, and this is an industry where age discrimination is rampant.
Given that this was a keynote address, everybody should have been addressed, not just a narrow subset of folks.
This was a great presentation. The guys did a really good job of showing all the cool features of TypeScript. Got me really excited to embrace this technology!
Enjoyed the presentation. I have been practicing scrum for the last 6 years as a Product Owner/Manager at another company. I have recently changed jobs, and I'll be discreetly implementing Scrum practices within our development team. When it comes time to actually calling it "scrum," it will be an easy conversation.
I'd like to download your slides when they become available. It will help me formulate our official "Process."
Thanks for coming out! It was my favorite presentation :)
I really enjoyed Dan's style and the thoroughness of his presentation. Great balance of information and live coding!
I thought this presentation was great. The speaker was engaging, the slides were great, and I took away several profound ideas that I'm excited about. Thanks, Mark!
I felt like this talk was full of lists and lists of data mining technologies, but never actually stopped to explain what they are or demonstrate how they work. Left with no valuable takeaways.
This class was perfect for my needs. Coming into PHP from many years in other languages, I needed to compare OOP functionality and this info was great. I will take the follow-up lecture next.
This class was perfect for my needs, coming into PHP from many years in other languages. Presenter did a great job, even with it being his first time presenting. His real-life examples were relevant and the info was very useful.
Sitting through this talk was torture. Less informative and more a plug for this kid's toy project. Presentation was hollow, awkward, and wrought with flawed assertions.
Loads of detailed info
