Excellent that you started with how motivation works. The approach worries me slightly--you need a very trusting environment for leader boards and other similar metrics to work without people misusing such metrics. Never addressed how to approach technical debt from a dev perspective. Still, it was well organized and well delivered.

Everyone there was already convinced of the value of modern standards, progress, css, and flexbox. You could have summed the first 20 minutes up in less than a minute. I didn't stay any longer, but I saw no CSS code while I was there.

Good general lessons to be learned. Well thought out title, content, organization of material.

Useful. Technical difficulties made the slides hard to read, but that's not your fault.

Sam has an enjoyable presentation style. I left the presentation ready to challenge my existing problems to see if they are a fit for the AWS Lambda solution.

Starting with an overview of what the longevity of data means, the speaker gave a great case for the preservation and attention to maintenance of the data behind applications. I appreciated the specific approaches presented for various aspects of data design and maintenance, given in an agnostic way that could be applied to many mediums.
