I came a little late to this presentation, but the presenter did a great job of making clear the importance of having an in-depth knowledge of the role of the various layers when attempting to scale a web-based application.
Engaging talk that made clear the point that it takes more than a good idea to form a business.
Well presented talk that positioned Pyramid as an adaptable and modular framework to support web application development of moderate to complex applications. The demonstration illustrated the ease of use and approachability of the tool.
Well presented survey of important topics targeting people like me who have previously used Javascript in a more limited context and need to come up to speed with contemporary use of Javascript as a tool that is core to web-development rather than a supporting cast member.
do you have a link to your slides?
Fast-paced and easily understood with some background in AWS and Python or JavaScript. Great introduction to how to use the technology and both what it's good for and not good for. I enjoyed the sample applications Sam demonstrated as well as all the other little AWS things that got mentioned in passing (the API Gateway, for example). Always enjoy watching Sam present.
While I'm not a community manager, this talk made me want to get more involved in open source and contribute to some projects. So while I wasn't the intended audience, I still got a lot of useful insight to apply to the communities I am involved with. I'd love to see some of your other talks!
Good basic overview of Haskell, suitable for someone (like me) who knows nothing about the language. I would happily have listened to another hour or two of Casey going more in depth. Pacing could have been a bit faster, but overall a great talk.
Thanks for the download on Caching on the Bleeding Edge. Where is the location of the slides?
Great presentation that illustrated the human side of open-source development and growing a project.
