I'm glad I made it to this talk. Code auditing has been an interest of mine ever since I started programming about seven years ago. Now code audit is a passion of mine thanks to Mr. Culp.
It was really interesting to learn about these different tools that audit code and see the different reports they provide. A lot of very valuable information could be gleaned by managers and developers alike regarding a particular code base.
Excellent talk!
Thanks for the feedback Max!
I definitely agree; I need to do some more work to separate out some of the general PHP practices versus what is Laravel specific. The feedback is much appreciated, thanks!
Hi Adam,
Thanks for the feedback! I did want it to serve as a practical intro to how to move from a manual testing & deployment process to something more automated. So I'll take a look at how to provide a better summary level of some of these pieces. Thanks!
Thanks Daniel! Part of the rush may have been the amount of content, so I'll look at slimming it down or stream lining a bit.
Hi Arthur,
Thanks for the feedback! This is incredibly helpful. The talk content was intended to be targeted mostly at beginners, so it's good to hear that I may have glossed over the details a bit too much. I'll look at re-jiggering this to provide a better overview of some of these technologies mentioned and when/how you'd want to use them. Thanks!
Thank you Cal for this great talk. It was by far the most helpful talk at the whole conference for me! I'm a lone developer in a small company and feel very much like I work in a vacuum. This talk made me see that there is a community of people out there willing and eager to help. You just need to know where to find them, and I have.
Thank you again
I liked the talk but felt it was a little heavy. I think it would have been more helpful if this talk was more of an overview of all the steps needed and not so much detailed about the internal workings or problems that arrive.
Great talk! Very informative and helpful. I learned a lot about how composer determines the stability of the packages it installs. Thank you!
