Witty, entertaining, and personal. A good reminder to stick to your goals and principles.
Wasn't sure what to expect, never seen Jeopardy before, great finish before the social though.
Found this really helpful as it's a topic I've been looking into lately but hadn't founda good way to managing dependancies, a few tools mentioned will likely be very helpful in future project too.
Of all the talks in the conference this probably had the most practical information in it which I can make use of in upcoming projects.
I found this to be one of the, prehaps the best, talk of the conference. Helped me understand the difference between HTTP 1.1 and HTTP 2.0 and what that means for web developers.
Found this really interesting in understanding what's going on at a lower level, many bits did go over my head but being exposed to the terminology and ideas was still helpful and has given me a few areas on what to look into to better understand how programming languges work.
I found some points I understood but I couldn't really see the advantage in doing them vs the disadvantage. Maybe if I maintain a large ojn going project in the future more of this will make sense. Still gave lots ot think about and bits that I can use straight away to improve my coding practises.
Good talk on APIs but I did think having part of the talk on general API development, part on PSR-7 and part on Slim itself meant that there wasn't enough time on slim so I don't think I could walk away and develop much with it.
Having said that I found the talk really good for explaining how to make good APIs using Slim to explain that, maybe just a different title is all that's needed to change.
Seeing real examples of PHP Generators was great, made me realise I should look into PHP Generators more.
Great talk about his career progression with type on how to apply it to ourselves.
Good advice, confidently given. Tess clearly knows her stuff when it comes to versioning control. If you ever see this talk at future conferences, I encourage you to go speak with Tess afterwards about the subject, too.
