Great talk about refactoring legacy code

Ilia managed to cover every potential bottleneck that might ever need analysing and with enough detail to start me on the path to understanding how to do that analysis, but at a breakneck pace so it'll take me days reading through his slides to get my head round everything he said.... hard to keep up with what he was saying, but well worth it for his insight into some of the less obvious areas that can cause problems, ranging from the overhead of dns lookups in the browser against using multiple cdns, to recognising when memcached hasn't been configured with enough memory.

Engaging speaker, as said above would have liked a little more balance between problems/solutions

Very interesting, would have liked more solutions to the problems presented though. More time should have been given for this presentation.

Solid content, but I think a more concise talk would have suited the "uncon" track. A lot of the intricate details only seemed relevant if you were actually implementing this - whereas I just wanted to learn the patterns and design decisions etc.

Good talk. A little too focused on problems rather than solutions, but all portent stuff none the less.

The end bit was bonkers (in a bad way). The rest was pretty good.

Covered a rounded bag of components. Unfortunately the delivery was somewhat flat, though this did improve slightly as the talk progressed.

Spell check your slides!

Consumate professional. Ian's talks always make you want to go away and immediately explore the concepts that were introduced.
