It was a pleasure to hear this talk again (last time at the php amsterdam).
Amazing session, Donald is clear, accurate and patient. He helped few of the attendees fixing their setup, and his way of being able to jump in any slides with Git is amazing. The session felt like a developer's journey, try, fail, fix, succeed which made it very easy to follow as it is relatable.
Not good material for a keynote, introduction too long, the L of Solid not explained properly, example a bit ridiculous, the talk itself has some potential and the speaker is good but would need to rework a lot her presentation
This really was a good talk to end the day on. At first I was worried that there wasn't really a lot for me and I zoned out a bit but it picked up and gave some interesting insights.
The idea of feature toggles has been something I've been thinking about for a while so it was interesting to see it talked about as feature to a code base although I can still see some pitfalls with this.
Overall a good talk, vibrant slides and everything was talked about with confidence.
This was my top talk of the Friday. API design is still something I struggle with and I've yet to see a talk delve into APIs like this one did, focusing on providing real insights.
It's a shame it wasn't a main talk as I think there's something in there that most developers won't know about.
Also just a really good, clear speaker in general.
I liked this talk but I will admit there wasn't much new here for me. I feel like the talk might have been better focusing on less tools and talking more about how to get more value from the insights.
Great speaking ability though and easy to follow.
Had some interesting insights but it did leave me a bit disappointed for a PHP talk. I was hoping it would focus more on the challenges of making the application work in a microservices environment rather than setting up the infrastructure.
It felt like the talk was a bit out of date as some of the advice was simply based on technologies that didn't exist at the time which would be easy to implement now using Kubernetes.
Otherwise well presented and spoken that kept the talk interesting.
A good talk but nothing really new for anyone who's learnt about SOLID before. It was an odd choice for a keynote and didn't get me very psyched for the rest of the day.
Great social. Plenty to do and felt well organized
Great talk. I liked that you mentioned also the error you run into. The topic itself still feels to complicated at the moment, but thats not your fault.
