A high level overview of some cool topics that are becoming more and more popular in the PHP world. Worth to see if you're not familiar with these yet.

Doctrine's full of features that are often abused or used in a wrong way. Marco gave lots of valuable advice on many Doctrine aspects, that will help you to use this ORM in a more effective way.

A must see talk for any doctrine user.

A very smooth introduction to docker and its ecosystem, very confidently delivered. Szymon managed to keep the audience engaged, even those who have already knew or used docker.

Wondering where I can find 15 minutes a week, but I already do a few of the things Liam suggested, so I won't feel so guilty if I can't find any more time on a regular basis.... but a host of good ideas on how to give back to the php community

The key problem is finding the time to be either a mentor or an apprentice.... it's a commitment by both parties that isn't to be taken lightly. While schemes like https://phpmentoring.org/ help facilitate finding somebody to work with, and are to be applauded for that, it's still too easy to fall into the trap of making commitments that you won't be able to keep consistently.

While the talk emphasised the benefits of the mentoring scheme and how to get involved, I felt it didn't provide enough advice on how to overcome some of the problems of commitment... while I'm not trying to put people off getting involved (I'm all in favour of their getting involved) I do want people to go into this with their eyes open.

One of my favourite talks at the conference, made me think about things I'd never looked into and didn't think world be possible in PHP! Entertaining delivery in what could be a very dry and mathsy topic. Thank you!

I think it's such a a shame that the limits we have imposed on our industry is stifling creativity, innovation and limiting our collective contribution to the wider world. I join Kayla and many attendees that would love to see more diversity in my work place. Kayla delivered a very personal talk on an important issue which was emotional and sincere. Thank you for the talk!

Great keynote to get the day started - (highly) informative, engaging and entertaining.

Interesting to hear from a maintainer of a big public project about the challenges and some of the total f'wits that exist in the world.

Although you tried to provide structure through the use of the 'topics' I felt that several of them were quite overlapping which meant that the talk lacked cohesion to me.

A good overview, though I kind of missed the elasticity aspect somewhere in there...
