I really enjoyed the real life look at cqrs and event sourcing, all the problems that can come up and all the different ways to handle the problems, especially that the speaker comes from a non-PHP community and has a better overview of the state of things.
For me, it was a really good follow-up to the Friday workshop held by the speaker, but I think you can gain a lot from this talk even without the workshop.
Good coverage on why having value objects and entities instead of primitive types is useful, how services should behave, that objects should exist only in valid state... All in all, I learned new, good, things from this talk and that's what matters to me.
If this talk doesn't inspire you, then no talk will!
It was absolutely fantastic!
Good talk. But wasn't a tutorial / workshop like I expected. Started of with a nice recap of some basic vulnerabilities based on Owasp's top 10. But I do think most of the listed vulnerabilities are handled by frameworks nowadays. Covering security topics (which sys admins have to deal with) were interesting to hear about, but not so practical for a developer.
A very good talk, your speaking skills have definitely improved since I last saw you talk. Your english has ameliorated as well.
Comming from a background where a framework was considered like the holy grail, compaired to "code maison", this presentation definitely sparked conversation. Interesting point of view.
I didn't quite know what to expect of this talk but was pleasantly surprised. Quite a few tools you mentioned, I didn't know about previously. And certainly gave me some food for thought about our current process at work.
A very hands on, to the point talk. Personally, I would have liked a little more information on how to store the data in elasticsearch and the formats of storage. But an overall great uncon talk.
Very good eye opener on legacy. Although I missed that part where you were going to make it "great again".
I expected a more practical approach, but maybe I was a bit misled by the title...
Nevertheless, you're a good story teller and you slides were funny (and branded)! Thumbs up!
It was nice to hear you mentioning security on the server as well, I feel I missed that in a lot of other talks.
Good flow of the talk, learned about how a master key can be used and how to use the subkeys. Appreciate the examples how to use them in different scenarios, like using them for ssh keys or passwords.
