Interesting and well presented. Good through topic coverage. I've especially enjoyed the examples provided: they made a very good point about what ES is. I would've enjoyed a bit more coverage of situations where this model is not suited, so to avoid the risk of being considered the next silver bullet.
Great talk: entertaining and with lots of useful hints and insights. One of the best of PHPDay 2014.
Insightful, well presented, entertaining. Hard to do better: great job, Jeremy!
Interesting topic and case study. I would've enjoyed more insights on adopted solutions, possibly shrinking the amount of time dedicated to problem statement. For instance, at an advanced talk, I expect everyone in the room to know what a race condition is, and also what the difference between unit and acceptance tests is. Thus, I wouldn't have dedicated much time and specific slides to such topics. With this said, I do not agree with other people saying that there was too much company promotion or that examples were too specific. IMHO real world scenarios are one of the best sources to learn from - let's remember we can always pick up books to learn generic concepts. Also having a clear understanding of context helps determining whether proposed solution could fit our situation or not. To me topic selection and talk quality were just right. A bit more of quantity (and depth) when it came to describing adopted solutions would've made it a winner.
great talk full of concept and suggestions. I found many inputs!
A very interesting talk, full of concepts. A concentration of experiences. It was also very enjoyable
