Rowan never fails to grasp onto an audience. The content, tidbits, and slideshow was amusing, quite funny, and informative at the same time. To pull something like this off well requires a great deal of skill, and Rowan pulled it off perfectly. A great end to a great conference.
Served well as a refresher for me and picked up some Puppet as well. Shame about the dodgy Internet for some portions. Thank goodness for tethering.
One of the best parts of my weekend thank you!
An informative, funny and well put together talk.
A great talk about an issue that affects all of us (and anyone who says it doesn't is kidding themselves!). Certainly had some great tips and things to try out, which I definitely will be giving a shot. And seeing if any of these methods can possibly work in a busy open-plan office environment.
Excellent talk, and just the right note to leave a fantastic conference on.
Great talk, great opening to the conference. The idea around the split screen session was genius and worked really well. It was a little distracting (from Lorna's theatre), that Ivo kept pacing back and forth, thus the camera had to keep following him, and he didn't seem to engage or make eye contact much with the audience in his theatre.
However it was still a great talk, and a very inspiring start to an otherwise great weekend!
The 'what we had and what we did and how it worked' structure worked well. As mentioned above some contentious ideas (my main takeaway was 'don't use a framework') and it might have been good to explore some of the broader pro's and con's.
Really insightful talk into how to build a website out of reusable bits of code. A great talk, especially in the "hangover slot" on a Sunday morning!
Covered a lot of what I already knew but also found a lot of useful API's that I will defiantly be using. Very helpful thank you.
