Fantastic overview of Hadoop and how to interact with it in PHP. Will be playing with it myself next week :)

I use an ORM already but went to this talk to get more information on the subject. The talk felt too long to get to started and was far too heavily theoretical. More code examples and case studies would have been great to drive the point home.

ORM is such an important tool that needs clearly expressing to those who are not familiar with it. There were some really good points talking about and the talk was informative but I felt it never connected from the theoretical to a practical use case.

I found this talk highly entertaining and thought-provoking, I'm now looking to implement credential management into my apps! The pace was fast but not too fast and the humor was done well!

Overall really informative!

Very quick overview of where the bits fit to build your traditional stack in AWS, with some caveats of what might happen as you do

A nice baseline talk on the different technologies you can use to store and manipulate non scalar data. I feel including more advantages and disadvantages of the technologies and scenarios to use them in would add interest personally.

Very informative overview of terraform; I've heard of the product in conversation with colleagues but never really had time to investigate it.

Great talk about historical PHP and how it's moving forward. I love the sound of the refinements and performance improvements in PHP 7.2 and Phan is going to be fun to experiment with.

Great introduction to Behat with simple instructions and resources to follow along.

Antonis is a very patient teacher and spent with people individually making sure they were caught up.

The only improvement would be to email out the requirement of downloading JDK and Chrome Selenium extensions beforehand to avoid long downloads.

Really good talk / tutorial session. James covered a lot of concepts and technologies in a short amount of time as well as being very friendly and answering all questions concisely.

Only criticism is that at some times it was a bit too fast for someone with no previous experience of web sockets, but being provided with all of the exercises will allow me to catch up at a later date.

Would also be good to be provided with the docker instance before the session to avoid the ~20 minute download.
