Thoroughly enjoyed this talk, going to be using it to my advantage start right now.
Nice first presentation by a new speaker. Good coverage of major strengths, weaknesses, and general points on each framework.
@EliW has done a great job on going over the tools that are out there to help developers doing their job better in many aspects. A nice touch was the whole Knight Rider theme...
Zend Framework is an awesome framework and Cal just shows you can use it not only for web applications, but also for CLI processes. If you're into CLI stuff, check out the slides because they rock.
Go Cal !
A very good introduction to SPL, a part of PHP that is still very under valuated by lots of developers. It's good to see that people step up and talk about SPL and Liz has done a great job at it.
Go Liz !
A very good talk about the new features that are added to PHP 5.3 with a fair question if the new feature is hot (or not).
A very well deserved A++ for Sara !
Awesome presentation about community stuff by @lornajane and @skoop and should have been recorded... This should be the 101 on community intelligence.
Fairly comprehensive guide on resources in the community and how to best utilize them. Excellent balance and pace between the two speakers. Clear they put a lot of thought and work into the presentation. A bit odd that there were no slides to complement verbal content from the speakers, though the overall presentation suffered very little for it.
Informative and well-paced. Good job engaging the audience, particularly since the session was immediately after lunch. Enjoyed the perspective on practices across various well-known projects.
Refactoring is a good way to modify a code base in a way that you improve the code, without touching behaviour.
A++ on promoting testing !!!
