Fantastic examples and perfect, timely advice for anyone coming up in the development community - particularly when it comes to peer comparisons, contributions, and mental health. Learning to be a developer is just as important (if not more so) as learning to write code.
This talk clearly covered how to use new features in PHP 7 and what may break when upgrading. After this talk I am very excited to get started with PHP 7.
Having never used Angular or Backbone I learned some important gotchas to know before starting out with those frameworks. I really wanted to see more about Cordova and how it helps build mobile apps.
Really helped to wrap my head around everything that goes into an API. Being still very new to the idea of an API, your presentation really helped me to factor in everything that goes into not only the actual API, but the planning including who will use your API.
Excellent! Complete with real world code examples that we could refactor and run in our local environments. Very helpful. I left this talk thinking of how I will apply this knowledge to several projects that could greatly benefit from it.
This talk was full of very useful knowledge. Speaker needs to work on organizing the information in a way that keeps people engaged.
Great talk, really hit all the highlights of web security as far as I'm concerned. Seemed like an appropriate dive into each subject.
He did a very good job explaining several good use cases for Redis. I particularly appreciated how clear and understandable his example code was.
I posted video from the presentation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4O0VW0qPVE
Very well done. Lots of good information about taking your APIs seriously -- treating it as a product and using it in your own products so any of your users/customer who use it will have confidence that you will continue to support it.
