This was a comprehensive overview of all things REST with practical tips and a workshop.
Lunch on Tuesday was uninspiring. The gluten-free options were depressing.
Josh Butts started from fundamentals then moved on to real-world PHP on Docker at scale.
Great session.
Full of information and hands on coding. Brandon was honest when he had an opinion and showed us best practices. It was a lot of info for one day and I got a lot out of it.
Great talk for docker novices. Lots of valuable information. Great speaker.
Chris knows his stuff. Training went without a problem.
This would have been an okay hour long talk, but needed additional development and content for a tutorial session. It also included quite a bit on setting up a local VM, which I feel is outside the scope presented in the talk description. As a speaker and presenter, Sean did great.
David was a great speaker and the material (being an actual training course) was well developed and refined. There were some minor typos, but it was a great introduction and walkthrough. The only tweak I would recommend is to try and make the labs produce a visual change (rather than just not producing errors) to see things actually happening. It should be noted that this course does not cover how to design a front-end, just how to write the code to implement it.
Great job with selecting topics. I learned a lot of info in a short amount of time and while Brandon was distracted with a personal issue, he was able to complete the talks and give me a jump start forward with OOPHP.
