Learned some good stuff that I'll be refactoring into old code and taking advantage of in new code. Thanks!
I took so much away from this as someone aspiring to move up to a managerial role. Going to use some of the techniques talked about to assist in reaching that goal.
Was great to hear about the direction that PHP is headed. I'm excited to be able to update to the newer versions of 7. Made me think about how PHP works in a whole new way.
This was a great working introduction to web components. I have been passively looking for a way to take a component based approach towards our front end and this was exactly what I needed to see. Thank you
This was great! How do I force the rest of my organization to see this and understand the role and the importance of it!?
Thought that this was great keynote and a great way to start the conference. I think that this should be taken down to a few pages and put in every php event booklet as a guide for new people as well as a reminder for not new people.
Great discussion on API design. I did get a little lost getting the source code to the correct branch when we were following along. The discussion format felt a little forced and I think it could have been guided a little more but the over all concepts are great and the tools and ideas presented are very useful and sound. I am excited to utilize these ideas in the future.
Great speaker with very high energy. Did a wonderful job breaking down his views on developer and architect. He was a very polished presenter with a good sense of humor. Got the conference started off in the right direction.
Colin did a great job enlightening us on what all is involved when releasing open source software for others to download and/or contribute. He pulled from his own experience in the open source world and gave us some best practices as well as pitfalls and what not to do's. Highly recommended. I know this is being nit picky but the only reason he didnt get 5 thumbs up is because he went over his time limit.
This was a great talk and a great reminder that we are not "just a developer"
