I saw so much of myself and my team in the model described in this talk. It was really eye opening to some of the things I've been dealing with.
Great tips and pointers on how to get different people working together.
With Joop being a divergent type of developer, it did feel biased at times with the convergent type often seeming to be put down a little.
Mark was courageous being so open with his story in this talk. It really hit home and was great food for thought.
I think the story part, while important could be a little shorter, and a guide or advice for how to deal with things if HR isn't available (such as in a smaller company that doesn't have dedicated HR people) would be useful.
The content was great, seeing how fast it can be to get up and running with OpenFaaS was eye-opening. I think there may have been a bit too much content to fit in for the talk, at times it felt rushed, but I can see why everything was in the talk, it was important stuff!
An interesting and informative talk, with a loud and clear call to action! Heather delivered it flawlessly despite the cold, and she managed to make a potentially boring and dry subject sound interesting and relevant. Bits of humour were great and you couldn't for a second doubt her passion. Kept me engaged and I really enjoyed it - thanks Heather!
Very useful, most of the PHP-FPM stuff was already known, as we've recently switched, but most servers still run apache. After this session, I've learned some in-depth study of nginx is in order. ;-)
Sublime, excellent talk delivered with good wit and passion. Loved it.
Every developer should see this talk. Such great tips and pointers for using Git properly. I think so many developers and teams are under-utilising Git simply because they don't know any better.
We have plans to run through Pauline's slides with the team and to get everyone on board with following her advice.
It's amazing to see someone talk so openly about their experience with mental health and particularly how that affects us in the development community.
It is fantastic to see someone care so much and to make sure everyone is aware of the options available to them.
I wanted to catch Mark after the event to say thank you for the talk but never gave a chance. Genuinely inspiring. Thank you, Mark!
Very knowledgeable guy, great speaker. It was really good to hear his insights and experience with scaling applications.
Thank you, I want to test this tool now
