Really good and useful info! I enjoyed this talk. I would of liked to of seen some more examples, but I understand it's hard to fit everything in.
Great concepts. Knowledgable and enthusiastic speaker. Fun audience involvement. A valuable talk that was enjoyable to hear. The only piece I think was left out was more guidance on real world application of the concepts presented. Some high level examples were provided but the audience was left to fill in the gaps on their own on how to leverage these ideas in the real world.
Thanks to everyone who attended this session! Remember ... it's all about implementing the amazing knowledge you obtained from this conference. If you have questions, I've love to chat: email: [email protected], Twitter: @NancyLGaines web: www.NancyGaines.com
Very engaging talk! Nancy gave us a little bit of self-examination of our own personalities which always ends up insightful. This presentation was very fun and educational, the only drawback is that the rest of my company wasn't here to participate in the same talk!
As expected, Sarah gave us great information about how PHP works with some laughs along the way. It's always fun discussing desired upcoming features, too!
Excluding the keynotes, this is probably my favorite talk of Day 1. I came to this presentation looking for tidbits of knowledge as I feel like I'm a bit on the more extreme end of YAGNI already, and I realized I certainly had more room to go. I absolutely enjoyed his approach of "If you want to go all the way with YAGNI, you could just serve up a static json file" - I didn't even think of this approach but it certainly is the farthest. Definitely good info! If you haven't already heard of JMac - go ahead and look him up online. He's full of great info from twitter tips to free workshops on writing cleaner code!
Ashley did an excellent job! It has definitely given me ideas on how I might be able leverage caching.
This was a brilliant session!
While I will probably never use the information, it was fascinating and very well presented!
Even as an experienced Slim user, it was great to see a Slim expert do a dive into Slim and demonstrate in a real-code way how to get the most out of Slim.
