For me this talk goes for the "best talk of sunphp19"!
Great insights, tips & tricks, a must see for every developer that is not a 'lone-wolf'...
Now I need to remove 'simply' from all of my talks ....
Very interesting talk, a good mix of content for non-technical and technical people. If you never heard of blockchain (or just know it exists), this is a good resource to introduce you to the idea
It seems everyone has a different definition of legacy: for me it's a 5y old Symfony2 or similar beast, for Chris it's code from when dinasours roamed the earth (circa 2005).
Speaker brought up really interesting things (which was a nice referesher for me as I was blessed not to have to handle those types of issues for like a decade).
For 5*: I would suggest showing more code examples and how to solve them instead of just going thru the theory: I feel that people who have to handle those kinds of issues in these days would get much more value.
Great introduction into the idea and work behind static analysis.
For 5*:
- try to reorganize the talk so some questions do not feel like you are trying to pull teeth from attendees: I love when speakers try to engage the audience but some of the questions were either not clear or too hard for audience to figure out
Another great keynote from Chris...
I have only a small suggestion: try to remove some ego from it. I know it's not always easy or possible to remove 'yourself' from a talk about 'yourself' but at the start it felt there was to much 'me,me,me' (which later did disappear)...
Awesome talk, many useful and real code examples. Loved it!
I loved this talk, super beneficial and for sure can help bring more introverted people like me into the community.
Awesome talk, good examples.
I walked away with not only the desire to reduce my overload but also some practical tools. Thank you!
Very interesting topic and Josh did a great intro to the subject.
A really big putoff for me was a 5-10 min introduction on 'new Microsoft', 'Microsoft is great, 'Edge', 'going for Chromium', etc... as the subject at hand wasn't really related to those things. First 5 minutes should get me interested in the subject and make me wanna stay there for the rest, not used as a commercial spot for the speakers employer... Once we got to the subject, 15-20 minutes down the line my interest was gone :(
