Talk comments

I thoroughly enjoyed this talk. It's a great follow up to his "Open Sourcing Mental Illness" talk. They complement each other very well. Ed is a great speaker and always willing to engage the audience during the talk. I found it very easy to relate to many of his own personal experiences that he expressed during the talk, and opened my eyes on how I can be more empathetic towards my peers.

Great talk and a natural speaker. I think I would have preferred to see slightly more in depth examples, and the talk ran really short, but Jacques did a great job moving right into a live demo (which I know most speakers dread) to use up the rest of the time. So Kudos to that!

It was a talk I was really looking forward to seeing and I wasn't disappointed. There were plenty of examples and touched on just enough topics to get me itching to explore them further on my own. I agree with others that I wish there was more time to get into further detail about some of the topics but overall I have no real complaints.

Gemma was a great speaker! Very enthusiastic and engaging, however I also agree with others that the time could have been spent better on the actual code examples and not on terminology.

For me this was my favourite talk at the conference. It was both engaging and humorous. And even without a single code example, there was plenty to take away from the talk. It flowed very well, you only had to look at your screen once, which was amazing.

The only downside was the talk was so long that there really wasn't much time left for much Q&A.

Excellent talk, inspired me to dig deeper and implement these concepts.
Thank-you!

Great talk, funny, and knowledgeable. She is constantly recruiting for the ever in demand improvement of PHP in every aspect. Great stuff.

Jacques was a very genuine speaker. He was honest about his project, virtPHP, and gave us a peek into its future. We need to see more of this project. I can't wait to try it out myself.

Great speaker, touched on ADR and TDD. I wish we had time to delve deeper into each topic, but for a 45-50 min talk with examples, he got his point across.

Adam conveyed a lot to think about. Rich with content from beginning to end, it also makes you want to dig deeper by reading the books associated with the talk. Great speaker.
