Good talk lots of Info great use cases and ideas on how to get started with elastic search.
Great performance - really nice break from a full day of sessions and better than having no evening activity like prior years.
I liked it, thought there was really good info. Coming from the POV of writing a large ERP system I felt some of the recommendations to be geared mostly to small apps and obviously needed to be rethought from that perspective. However I think a lot of the info out there for PHP in general is like this and felt the Symfony recommendations might be easier to see what is appropriate to change than some others.
I was also hoping for more info on administration vs screenshots of the fairly easy install process.
Great information about the performance of iterators vs arrays for database i/o.
The other comments here are spot on. The content was good, but some of the presentational elements were unnecessary and distracting. I also felt mislead by the title/description, expecting to find more than best practices. Overall, the presentation does have lots of potential to be delivered again in the future, but the description maybe should be changed to reflect the content.
Nice job live coding with some great content. Thanks for the code examples as well.
