Usually Mathias gives worthy talks but this time i was disapointed. I was expecting much more technical content. The ideas explained were not very deep, we can easily grasp them by reading a few articles. The conference ticket should be worth more.
It also saddens me to say that it sounded a bit like "don't listen to ppl with no experience in microservices, i dont have experience with microservices, go buy my book about microservices".
As someone who usually avoids diagrams and pre-project documention like the plague, this talk gave me a number of new ideas for doing a better job in this area.
Well delivered and interesting talk on a subject that perhaps doesn't have a huge amount of day-to-day application. Looking forward to monkey-patching production sometime soon!! :p
Really good message, but I would question the delivery - seemed a little 'stream of consciousness -like', and I felt it could have guided the audience better towards specific takeaways.
Awesome talk. Great parallels between Bruce Lee quotes and software development.
Feature branching on steroids, continuous delivery but no continuous integration. Feature branching has serious drawbacks and none of them were mentioned.
The examples at the end took a bit too long which left no room for questions.
A great high level look at pittfalls and strategies around them.
Highly interesting look into the abyss that is the under-the-hood processing that happens in PHP!
I'm really happy to see this session on the schedule, and the information Nara provided was very good. This is not an easy topic to discuss for many people, and she did well. One area to improve in would be the very bullet point focused slides. It made me want to read them versus listening to her.
Good talk about an important subject often neglected. The speaker seemed to be in control of the subject.
Would have been nice to see more code examples if what to do and not to do.
