loved the talk, very interesting and conveyed in a great way.
my only note is that i would like to hear more gotchas.
I would say that the subject is very interesting, and the speaker is extremely passionate and knowledgeable.
I've given it 3 stars for 3 main reasons:
- this should not be an opening key note talk, it is way too technical and low-level for being this early
- live demo is a huge gain, but if it fails, it's a huge fail so there should always be a fallback plan if it's so inherently important to the talk.
- Aside from the talk of the language, i would have loved to hear a more general talk about metaprogramming, when it's useful, when it's good, bad, etc. again, due to the early time in the morning, i think that a more high level talk would've made much more sense.
Best presentation hands down, I felt the same way about the topic but I don't agree that the language should not be further developed.
Try adding more life to speech, but good topic
Good presenter but the idea is not that good or new, the "design first as specification" doesn't work that well in practice.
Demo was too long and annoying for me. This may be topic for some other conferences...
Very basic, you should have tried to focus on less familiar tabs of chrome tools like CPU and Memory etc...
@Massimo Lusetti: slides 91-94 100-103 is my attempt at explaining why rx is better than promises
@Francesco Face: slides are now up. See the link!
