Great talk and encouraging to not come across any major security issues I was not already aware of ...
I feel kind of bad that we started using DTOs and abandoned them, need to review that decision after this talk.
Another excellent talk and demo by Nuno, although I'm struggling to see what Rust gives me that bash and other CLI languages like perl or even PHP don't.
Great talk - if only I was in the rapid app development game I'd be all over this.
Great - I'm not sure I'll get as far as sharding, but the other options will certainly require some careful thought by me and my team over the next 6 months.
Fantastic, thought-provoking talk. Lot of work still to do in terms of opening up the dev community and providing access and opportunity for all. As an industry, we are potentially missing out on a lot of great talent, we just don't know who they are.
Very interesting, albeit a technology that won't be easily applied or relevant to anything we currently do, unless it provides a neat entry point for NHS HL7/FHIR APIs
Interesting talk, well-presented and with some gotchas as well. I'm not sure we'll be moving from Vue, but on new projects will certainly evaluate Livewire as a possibility.
TIL there is a tool to help me document my API (currently a hand-crafted 90+ page PDF). Thanks !
First talk of the conference and the best in my opinion.
Serverless has been around for a while now but Joe's talk proved how mature it is and that it should be the way to go infrastructure-wise now.
I have since setup one of my side projects using Bref.sh, which was recommended along with Laravel Vapour in the talk.
I only had to login to AWS to create a user and generate API keys. That is bonkers.
I haven't switched the DNS over yet as I don't feel completely confident in my knowledge - I'm too used to SSH'ing in and fixing stuff - which I won't have to do now. I'm sure I'll complete the switch once I have played with it some more.
Thanks Joe!
