Very well organized and thought out. After hearing this talk, I feel more equipped to explain security risks to non-developers.
This was a good talk, and I think I am inspired to accidentally learn something about Behat. Speaking for myself, as someone who knows what Behat is and has played with it a bit but never used it, since there was extra time it might have been good to give more background on Behat. But, this was some really good information and something I'll be referring back to.
Awesome talk. Covered a lot of material and I learned a lot, even though I had heard Rafael Dohms' talk on object calisthenics. I agree that this could be easily split up into two talks, with the first talk allowing more time to show examples, and the second talk having more time to show actually running some of these tools in the command line and analyzing their output.
I thought the code coverage examples were good -- showing how as more code is tested, the coverage reflects it, and how some code can be removed that is never reached.
I think if I were just getting started with unit testing, this talk would be one I could refer back to for help. I also think it would be good to add a few more examples.
One of top 2 talks on friday. Loved the pace and the content. Thank you.
Great talk. From the apps you found that use recursion, please show snippets of code we can easily understand... and cover them. Intro was too long - should ask for a raise of hands of ppl that don't know recursion to determine if a long intro is needed.
I wish I had heard this talk when I first started learning about DDD a few years ago -- I think Jeff did a good job explaining some of the core concepts, and it was much easier to understand than some of the information that can be found online.
One thing I would recommend is to talk more about benefits and show more examples closer to the beginning in order to stimulate people's interest.
Way over my head. Please explain or give background info before you begin. I had not a clue what was being discussed. Not your fault, but intro/fundamentals should be included.
Wow, this was a great talk. I learned a lot and honestly felt rebuked (in a good way) for not doing a better job at this. Engaging presentation with a lot of takeaways.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. :-)
