Good talk Omni. Liked the slides, nice humor, and above all: some really helpful things. Your focus was a healthy work environment, and that is a strong point to drive home.
We were a tough audience, silently though, I enjoyed your jokes. I was already using PHP CLI, and this was a firm confirmation of my practices; With the bonus of a few new pointers.
Fantastic talk with a clear beginning, middle, end, and take aways. Thanks sir.
If you have the opportunity to go see Paul speka--take it.
I took a lot of notes in this talk. Much light into helpful tools that I will be sure to look into.
This was a great talk. Where a lot of talks were talking about managing scope creep, you made a point to say that sometimes being flexible is a good thing. A lot of very important, hard learned lessons in that talk. The reason why not 5 stars was because I felt there was a lot of story and buildup to reach the same point that was beginning to be eluded to at the beginning of the buildup.
Chris, you have a ton of passion for Drupal and the subject matter--thanks for your efforts here. I think the majority of your audience didn't need to be convinced about the relevance of Drupal 8, and they were there looking for a talk explaining How to get up and running with Drupal 8. You would have done much better to avoid focusing half your talk on the why+philosophy of where Drupal is now, and instead showed us the results of all of those decisions and how they can directly impact how easy it is to build sites with Drupal. Talking with a few of the other attendees who joined the talk, I believe that is what they were hoping to walk away with.
Was awesome, reminded me of my highschool days.... except for on steroids.
It worked for me as I needed elementary knowledge in this subject however there could have been a little more energy during presentation.
I am new to Vagrant and now I have a solid idea where to get things started!
I was really glad and intrigued that you included points about the community. Nice quick walkthrough with code examples.
