I thought the talk was a little bit too loose on the examples that pretty much cover on the same concept, was hoping to hear more adv subjects. a little bit disorganized on the presentation part.
I think there should be more php programmer to attend the talk and learn how to extend their career to IBM i platform. good talk and open a door for php programmer to a new world.
Yeah, this guy is good a what he does. If we applied Sturgeon's law, this talk would definitely be in the 10% column.
other talks may benefits us for a while. tips learned from this may benefit us for lifetime.
There were some technical difficulties; dying mic batteries, lost notes, a broken link. But Mr Pourian handled it like a champ and delivered a very solid talk.
As a developer who wanted to learn more about design, I thought this was a great talk. It contained lots of good advice; iterate quickly, throw out designs, focus on structure over style, always keep in mind the goals of the design. Jennifer also did a good job of introducing several of the tools that she uses from pencil and paper to Sketchflow and Balsamiq.
