Talk comments

I enjoyed learning about the past. I wasn't really involved in tech or the internet, other than being a consumer, back in the nineties so it was interesting to see how we got to where we are now. This was a great keynote that got me excited for the rest of the conference.

Good talk overall. I wish we had more time to discuss the methods a bit more in-depth but this was a nice way to be introduced to some of the more obscure magic methods.

I really enjoyed this talk as well. Larry's a very personable and down-to-earth speaker. He discussed traits on how to be successful in your life and career, while giving a history of how he got to where he is, which was helpful to see how other's do it.

Thanks Eryn! I'm so glad you found it helpful!

Thank you, Tyler! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

This was my favorite presentation of the conference. What an interesting idea for a talk. It was not only entertaining but useful. URLs are something we all use every day but never really think too much about. I had never considered whether making it easy for the user to manipulate a URL at the address bar ("hackability") was a good thing or a bad thing. Nicely done.

This was a great presentation. His examples were excellent and very thought-provoking.

I enjoyed this talk very much. I like the idea of having at least one talk even at technical conferences about career strategy. It is such an important topic. This was the kind of talk that got you thinking about the big picture. Maybe future conferences could have a talk by some sort of IT career expert(?)

Larry's talks (and books!) are always fun and clearly presented. He's a great speaker and a nice guy. But I think the topic was too deep for a 45 minute presentation. I have done some AJAX in the past and I understood what he was saying, but most of the attendees had not. I think he probably lost a lot of people about mid-way through the talk.
