Very informative talk, I left looking forward to trying out Kubernetes! Horizontal auto-scaling sounds like the stuff of dreams.

Pretty interesting talk, it was really nice to hear a rundown of Cassandra vs. MongoDB vs. Redis. I have been considering using NoSQL for a project and this talk gave me a lot to think about!

Super entertaining talk and demo, and a link to the code repo to boot. Well done!

Anyone who started out on a Commodore 64 and used BBSes is good with me! Lots of good advice in this talk :)

Great talk! I love hearing why people got into software development, and Samantha's story was very interesting! I experienced nostalgia overload when she talked about copying out Basic games from magazines :)

Kudos to her for raising a lot of important topics that people too often shy away from! I just wish she'd had time to discuss the rest of her slides. I think the pace was good, the talk probably just needed and extra 15 minutes. I could see some great discussions coming out of this talk, so time for that would have been great too.

Tim was one of the best speakers I've seen at Northeast PHP. He covered all aspects of testing, not limiting it to phpunit. Great concepts were introduced, and he was able to answer the most crucial question: "where do we start?".

Tim has abbreviated the real-world problems and his lived experience (and old-and-new mindsets) as a developer ... and found a way to convey the value of software testing (particularly automated) to novices and veterans alike.

While this talk was described as "a shallow dive", it wasn't light on content. It covered more than the "need", but also showed "how to" so there were practical take-aways.

Tim has an animated and energetic style of presenting, which is particularly effective when presenting in the last slot of the day!
