Wait, I'm giving this 5 thumbs up? How does that make sense? Anyway, 4 thumbs for it being coherent, interesting, and informative; 1 thumb for a live demo that actually worked!
Didn't Novell do a talk about connecting everything? Back in the 90's?
This was an awesome presentation and while I've known about all the technologies involved I was excited to see it in action. This talk has inspired me to do some awesome things of my own. Great talk, Clint!
Good overview of what Salt is, and some of the neat things it can do.
Josh's presentation definitely kept my attention the whole time. It's very informative for someone like me who just barely getting into web programming. Thanks.
It was one of my favorite classes from the Open West Conference. I really enjoyed it.
Knowledgeable speaker, I liked how he was able to relate common PHP idioms to Ruby. I've been using ruby for 8 years and he was still able to teach me something new!
Thanks all for attending! As promised in the talk, I can get you code for hashing and movement of db files, If anybody wants the demo virtual box .ova's I can figure out a way to get them to you(about 2.5 gig total) meeting at the SLC Hackerspace and transferring via thumb drive would probably be easiest. If you have any more questions on any of the Open Source projects that were shown in the presentation go ahead and ask here or shoot me an e-mail at [email protected].
Great talk. It went over everything interesting within the time limit, and some other interesting things too. (I really liked the comment about innovation debt, in relation to selling this to your boss)
