I loved walking into this feeling excited and interested in OpenShift and walking out with a fully functional web app running in my own OpenShift account and all kinds of future plans for this account. Steve did a great job of keeping the audience focused and moving forward while still addressing the needs of many who were less familiar with some of the technologies, like NoSQL databases. Plus he was totally cool with my 15-year-old son joining in and doing the exercises as well. Well worth a Saturday afternoon.
A very helpful overview of Kanban, exactly what I was looking for. I have lots of ideas to take back to work thanks to this presentation. Sometimes it seemed the presenter was reading the bullet-point slides, instead of letting the slides augment the presentation which I would have liked better.
I would have liked to see the presenter actually write a salt module, show me how to package, distribute, and install it, etc.
Very funny and entertaining. Loved that the speakers were so willing to engage with the crowd. But I was hoping to learn more than I did. Sowing me how to get started or how to write a simple app would have been nice.
Love to see this type of PaaS offering, one that avoids lock-in, has lots of flexibility to match my application development style, and has nice command-line tools (unlike AWS). Plus it's great to see Red Hat flying people out for this. Great presentation.
Loved this presentation. The presenter was engaging and the subject matter delivered clearly. Sometimes he spoke too quietly, and I would have liked to see a demo to make my rating higher.
Not sure I completely agree with Phil's vision of the future, but this keynote was entertaining, fascinating, and enlightening. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would seek a chance to hear Phil speak again.
Excellent presentation. This was the most informational presentation of the conference for me. I thought it would be interesting, but that I wouldn't learn a lot. I was wrong, I learned a ton. I'll be sure to catch Daniel's presentations in the future.
Great presentation. Loved the demos, especially the magic bullet. This is getting me interested to DIY my home automation.
Personally, I found the integration of refactoring a sample code project into the presentation to be quite helpful. Some paring down would probably be good, although running over time wasn't so bad given that this presentation was in the last slot for the day.
