A fantastic articulation of what had been swimming around my head all these years. Really entertaining and informative. Thank you Erika!
Nostalgic, enlightening, emotional, inspiring. Thank you Cal. You're Pop would have been immensely proud of you.
Second time i see this talk and it was even better, very strong message and well rounded off. Honestly i think it improved so much more because i was given a full slide :D i'm kidding!
This was an epic social. At least for me since i got sucked into Laser Quest all night. I really enjoyed the possibility to network with people in a different way, made some "war buddies" in that arena.
I hope for future events sponsors step in to pay for drinks for the first hour or two of the social so less people feel the need to abandon the social and head to the pub.
Whilst I knew a lot of what was covered, there were some great gems in there, which will come in very handy for me in my day-to-day work. But what worked for me more, was a confirmation that how I work is how other people work. So it reaffirmed that my approach is a valid one. Well worth attending!
Convinced me to give Ansible a try after using Puppet for a couple of years. Therefore the talk can be seen as a success.
Talking while coding is never easy, Lorna handled it with ease. A very strong talk not necessarily showing advanced GIT more how advanced users use GIT.
Laser Quest was great, however, while Fistful of Dice were nice guys, it actually detracted from the networking. I got stuck in a game and when I came out most attendees had disappeared.
Also drinks were too expensive which meant most people went to the pub fairly early on.
Funny, entertaining, educational! As someone new-er to API development, this was very informative. Despite the stated nervousness, the style really worked with me. Will happily see this talk again and buy the book.
Lasers. That is all.
