PHP UK Conference 2015

One of my favourite talks of the conference. Great content and interesting speaker.

I felt it was a little too basic, for this day and age. Almost all PHP developers are using git/github.

However, well delivered.

I really enjoyed this, plenty of resources to take away and put into real life use. For me, this was a call to action and a launchpad for trying to further my development.

A great talk covering the getting started basics. Although my expectation was that the talk would be more about contributing to open source, getting code review from the community and overcoming the stigma that some developers feel towards contribution to open source

A lot of time is spent on bare essentials that most people know: coding standards, rtfm, asking/giving help.

The speaker was engaging & enthusiastic, encourage more work on the talk because it's a great idea.

Interesting so see a solid real-world example of HHVM in the wild, rather than "yet another what-is-HHVM talk". Explained the pros and cons of it and just an all-round fair judgement. I liked the overview of the pfff tools. For me personally, I would've liked to see a bit more of a technical dive into things Etsy had to do - it was a little overview-y perhaps?

Awesome - this captured your passion for community perfectly, and some great pieces of advice there.
