Look guys, I get the point. I tried the best I could as I had the flu. I came on stage even if I had fever, headaches and bad cough.
I chose to not speak about my health on stage to focus on the presentation of my work and do it entirely.
I understand your disapointment, I'll work harder to do better next time if I get the chance to. But for now, please, try to acknowledge that there was work behind this talk and a will of doing this properly.
Some of you are comparing my talk to Rob Allen's : I'm a beginner at speaking at international conferences and I think it's kinda of void as he is way more experimented and talking about a different topic.
Great talks with some really good examples on real life challenges. Well presented too.
Probably one of my favourite talks of the conference. Interesting, funny, well presented has inspired me to tinker and play more with a very cool technology.
Started well, then took off on a tangent. The start did have a lot of promise but at the end, I didn't really get the point.
I good talk with good content. I think your nerves let you down a bit as you kept looking at the slides behind you and not at your audience, this affected your ear piece which I think added to your nerves even more. That and a live demo which sadly didn't work out.
I think the best thing to take away from this was that we shouldn't always just use the tools we have and we need to think outside the box too. Not only does it give you the chance to use some kick ass new technology, you might also have the opportunity to massively optimise your app.
A bit too basic for me and I would hope that most developers already know about indexes and data types but none the less I enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed the talk, it was well presented and had lots of good points. Just avoid looking at your own slides too much, the only criticism.
It was a good talk and had some good real world examples. Looking to integrate this into my own work at some pont.
Great presentation. Super presenter. Great mix of slides/code/demos to make things really clear. Only criticism was out of Ben's control - the room was too small..!
What you said at the closing keynote was exceptionally brave, to stand up in front of a large group of people (including your Mother) and pour your heart out about your struggles and therapy must have been a tough. If I take nothing but your talk away from the conference I would a much richer person for it.
Thank you
