Great discussion session that turned into a basic Computer Science lecture ;-) very useful in that php pretty much does it all for you

Picked up some useful tidbits about specific features of Github and some of the other systems out there. Despite Lorna's... um, less than glowing opinion of the platform and its underlying VCS, there was some pretty constructive stuff in there. Particularly interesting discussion at the end on how the tools available affect the workflow of a project. Specifically I was after the real world experiences, (e.g. the use of an alternative issue tracker) and that was delivered.

Derick is in his element talking about this stuff, well informed and amusing. Fairly good discussion too, even though there was a danger of it drying up. Sorry, can't remember the name of the chair, but nice seed topics provided.
