Talk comments

Clear introduction into Namespacing in PHP with the good and bad clearly outlined. Very informative and thorough.

One tip for the future though ... put some more work in your slides. Code highlighting is invaluable when presenting/learning new syntax to an audience and a little fancier theme wouldn't have hurted either :)

Unlike the other commenters before me i'm not going to give my thought on the technology used but rather on the presentation itself. All three of the presenters have more than enough experience talking to a larger audience and that showed. Maarten's talk was the most fluent of the three but Katrien's and Mike's added some clear value through examples and background information.

Ofcouse we can't look past the fact that this was a sponsored talk, basically a sales pitch for Azure, which as a technology interests me but will most likely never be in my skillset since there is cheaper and better at the moment.

Didn't really know what to expect from this talk but it ended up being both good and bad. I'm afraid some technical difficulties kept Jan from getting the most out of his presentation. There was some really interesting material in the presentation that I would have liked to see working in a live demo but the internet failure (Thanks for that Telenet) kept Jan from doing so.

I got a really clear answer to my question at the end though which makes up alot :)

I had high expectations for this talk but I felt rather ripped off when I left the room. Not that the talk was bad, not at all. John is a fluent presenter and really can get his message across in an understandable way. It's just that I had expected to leave the room with a buck-load of idea's on what tools to use to manage our team of developers and projects but I left empty handed.

Overall I would say it was a little too generic. Room for improvement.

A very nice talk. As mentioned numerous times above, the real-world examples are just so useful. It really gave the talk that extra.
Everything was well explained, even for someone like me, with much less experience on this subject it was easy to follow.

Great, interesting talk!

Everything i expected from a Rob Allen talk: personal, down to earth and spiced with real life examples and personal experiences. I took home a lot of valuable information since i'm in a comparable professional situation where deployment of many small projects is daily business.

Perfect as a keynote, light-footed, humorous, not too serious but still on topic for all of us developers. Great way to kick off the rest of the conference.

I didn't find the solution attractive enough, maybe as I am a developer rather than another Darth Vader... I believe that technology nowadays can provide batter ways to solve some of the problems mentioned.

Nice, warm, inspiring keynote. 27 might be too many to remember on your daily life/work, but the take home message was easy to grasp.
