Good talk. thx
Tjirp said it all, realy interesting talk. Esspecially when you just introduced SVN to your company last year and you get complemented on the way you did that by this talk and at the same time learn a whole lot more to do with it.
Interesting talk from rob allen about deployment and how to do this in your own environment. Rob shows real life examples on how to deploy and rollback new releases.
Eventough the talk started without a microphone (which wasn't Robs fault) slowly the talk got underway and was over before we knew it.
The only addition I could see to this talk is how to use these techniques with non-developers. Such as your webdesigners or translators.
Very interesting talk.. wasn't sure what to expect, but this was actually very useful and in-depth. Did find that initially you focused on code that's actually "fairly" testable (I mean, if you can do DI fairly easily, that means the original coder was at least using objects.. most of the really nasty code consists of PHPMyAdmin-like code, with piles of .php files being called directly, doing their thing. Later on in the talk, the really gory bits came, with Runkit / Classkit to top it off. While Runkit makes me cringe, it's good to see it mentioned as a last resort for such cases.
Great talk. Nice, simple to understand examples on how to test your "untestable" code. Just what I need for my code. To bad you miss judged the time. You had time for more stuff.
Great way to kick off the conference. Great material, gives you stuff to think about. A bit flaky in the presentation, but I guess this will be better next time the talk i preformed.
Great keynote with great speakers. I always enjoy a keynote with speakers who are really telling a story instead of just giving facts. It was a nice thing from them to provide details and personal opinions about each tip. Some nice summary of ways to improve yourself as a developer. The tip of a healthy mind in a healthy body was the best tip in my opinion.
Here's the slideshow Lorna provided at the end btw: http://slidesha.re/f9kORr
Thanks for the keynote Lorna and Ivo
Great talk. Nice idea to hand out the vmware with the source.
Good job on explaining the different parts for the QA process. Very informative, but way to much stuff for only 3 hours. Focus on one or two subjects and go deeper into those subjects. You should have focused more on the different tools available.
Great idea to put all source code on a VirtualBox image. You should have used it more in the tutorial.
Enjoyable keynote with useful information. The speakers coordinated well too.
