Interesting talk, need to change some of habits in my team...
Definitely a great talk, the only problem was, my brain already took so much information to the day that is was hard to absorb this too. I think it will land in a few days if my brain processed a lot of other information :)
Nice insights though about choices one can make for speed and security.
Love to read the slides later on to easily catch and read up in my own time.
Nothing to add more! Well done.
Great talk. Very clearly structured, very clearly delivered. I learned a lot.
Just one point of feedback: You could do with a little less disclaimers (regarding being the last talk of the day and stuff) Everyone in that room is there voluntarily. Your talk is more than enough reward.
Good tutorial, well prepared so you could catch up when it didn't work for you at first.
Might have gone a bit deeper on some topics. Especially at the end.
One of the talks wherefore I know I picked the right one. Still find myself rewriting some legacy code. Nice howto's ans approaches from which a few I was familiar with and added some new ones from the talk to my stack. Thanks for that.
Also, I didn't know you could do this for a living, I mean seriously, I didn't know...
It's not about details, it's about how you help each other getting better. Nice insights.
I found it a nice tech talk to start of with, developers do get lazy(including myself, but hey, thats my job, ahum) over time and thats where security risks derive from, also, we are not perfect.
It is nice to see that there is a lot one can find out without even knowing the source entirely, I've researched some myself by just Googling in the past. Now Thomas show some stats and gives us insights how we all can make a software a little saver.
Good talk, nice slides and a great addition to the one your gave earlier on the day. Thanks!
Misleading title + description. was more of a sales pitch for baleen.
The DDD part was more of a description on what direction Baleen would be taking in the future.
So, expected something quite different.
As for the content of the talk itself, a more detailed in-depth examples of how to do something with (for example doctrine) would be useful and would make a lot of things a lot more clear. Instead of "you can write your own bit of code for doctrine/whatever-orm, show an actual example of what you need to do.
