I really saw the horror and I know the feeling, so it was quite nice to see other people dealing with the same issues. Some of the examples for fixing the issues were not really neat and some had hidden bugs, like the one for `GROUP_CONCAT ` it will work, but only until 1024 chars as this is the limit of `GROUP_CONCAT`.
Great talk! Nice examples about how to improve our software quality. Kudos to the mention of mutation test framework!
Content:
I've hear a thing or two about docker in the past but it always remained "blurry". This talk gave me a better view into what docker can mean during development AND deployment.
Slides / demo:
A bit unfortunate that the Pimcore demo didn't worked out as planned. But you've provided a backup (Magento demo) which worked out well. Good job!
Speaker:
You spoke bright and clear. Everything you said was understandable. It wasn't always at a decent pace, though I'm sure that after a few more attempts, you'll master the talk and simply ease right through it. You clearly master the subject itself so I blame the nerves :) Am I right?
Nice talk, but a bit superficial. I would recommend focusing on a few components of the built system
and explain them in detail.
Nice introduction for non-Go developers.
Learned about rubber duck debugging (!) and tools like phptrace, ltrace and MySql Proxy.
It was an interesting talk explaining the initial purpose of creating this library, what challenges the author faced and how he solved them.
I find the human brain a really interesting thing, so it was fun to hear some tips and tricks to help it along. At some points it felt a little bit forced (programmers are lazy people - I just want to sit!) and I'm not sure why the speaker is an authority on the subject. I did think she do well considering she didn't have her notes at hand.
Here's hoping for power naps at work! Also, cute desktop photo.
Fun, but feels a little bit like "going through the motions". Great aftermovie!
But, I didn't win anything ;,)
Pretty basic level tutorial, great for beginners! Even though I am not a beginner I still learned some things and I wish I had this tutorial 10 years ago. One improvement would be to give examples and types of for example Polymorphism since there are different types and would be nice to show to people that there are other ways as well.
