I'm maybe going against principle here but whilst the talk didn't really teach me much new, Codeception is an excellent tool and any place people can be encouraged to use it, support it and learn to build better tests should be encouraged!
Good to see something a bit alternative like AoP being dealt with at conference level and it was well presented by Mark. Challenging developers to evaluate why they do or don't like "magic" is a good exercise.
It was a shame that it ended with "but you can't use this in production" and didn't really offer reasons for why or whether it could ever be used - ie what needs doing so that we can use it, and can we help?
Great talk presented with style and humility. Clear examples to avoid some of the same mistakes but still advocate for the benefits of microservices in the real world.
I enjoyed the talk and learning about the internals of Doctrine was helpful. I did find it hard to follow in places because it moved quickly, though that may have been because I didn't already have any Doctrine internals knowledge. What may have helped would be to see how understanding these principles can directly impact how you'd build an application differently, as that could be put directly into practice.
Great talk. Funny CO2 calculations!
Great workshop! First time experience with Event Storming. Explained very clear
Nice presentation about legacy code. I like your speaker style, an informative talk with some jokes in it.
I personally would have preferred some technical examples.
Interesting talk that was brought in a fun way. By telling a story around it you had the audience immediately with you. The presentation had a clear structure and was brought in a very understandable way. Top!
Very interesting talk and well brought. Good intro to event sourcing and the code examples made it even more clear.
There's no silver bullet in this area and I think whilst Jordi didn't present anything groundbreaking the talk was very candid and honest. It was interesting to see the journey rather than just be told what to do, and to look at how something usually the preserve of big companies can be managed by someone in their own time to make an open source service
