Great exploration of what works and what just pisses people off. Very helpful and witty at the same time. :)
Wonderful talk. I appreciate the way Matthew walked throug the evolution of a bit of code, and pointed out how requirements drive improvements. Everyone could stand to improve the reusability and flexibilty of the code they work with daily.
A very useful analogy for community in an approachable and understandable way. Great notes on issues and experiences in building and maintaining communities - but also why they're so great for developers.
Very enjoyable walkthrough of how problems become more complex, and how the code has to be better designed to accommodate it.
Although I'm not a fan of flex and multi platform apps, I did enjoy this talk. Both the pros and cons were mentioned and it wasn't presented as the 'one solution to rule them all'. Well balanced.
Excellent talk with tons of info about workload distribution and scaling an architecture. Well delivered and structured!
Excellent presentation. A little rushed toward the end, but overall informative and well done. I would have liked a little more detail on some techniques other than using gearman, but it appears time would not permit that.
Nice overview. I liked the zf implementation. I have so far used an alternative approach but your use of contexts seems much cleaner.
Well delivered despite a soar throat. Structured talk with a proper balance between all the topics.
Nice talk, any one interested in web services should see/hear this first. I have personally used cURL for scraping, but this presentation showed me other methods that I need to read and try implementing.
If its Ok with Matt, I would send a copy of this to a couple of my friends as a reference to start with for writing web services.
