Talk comments

This is the first intro i had about best practices for writing API's and Web Services. This talk made me start considering writing API's than writing multiple web pages for same content based on platform.

Worth the time if any one is considering writing Web Services or API's. An addition that would make it the best tutorial would be some code examples, even if added separately would work as a reference.

This presentation made for a good overview of the various cloud architectures, and presented several options for scaling in the cloud with PHP. A lot of information to cover, but well presented in under an hour!

I know the session times don't really allow it but a live demo would kick ass. Profile an instance of WordPress or something.

This was a very good presentation! Good examples using Zend Framework layouts, also good explanation of meta tags for mobile platforms. Great for anyone making the transition into mobile development with PHP.

Excellent, so much I'm even willing to forgive you for wearing open-toed shoes. Honestly, nice to see the thought process behind the evolution of good coding practices and some common sense approaches. So, where's the slides?

Your example on refactoring the simple act of sending mail to an extensible and testable implementation is spot on. Sending mail is probably something every PHP dev has done in their career. And if not, it's still easily accessible.

The talk structure is well done, but needs a call to action at the end. You could benefit your listeners by suggesting some resources on how they can start to recognize these structures in their own code and start applying these principles. Recommend some books and concepts people can check out to learn more on their own.

This is a talk I would love to see at every conference, and we need more like this!

Excellent presentation, and great points.

Wasn't there but the slides are great and jam-packed with resources that I'll surely look into.

Excellent strong points on attitudes toward documentation and how to write it well, great visuals and practical examples, very entertaining. Many people need to see this presentation.
